Easy parking in the lot on the North side of the lake, just off W Paradise Lane
There is a nice grassy area just off the parking lot, behind the fishing area.
We will set up our scopes there.

Take a stroll around the lake and stop by for a view of the moon through one of our telescopes!

Peoria Main Library – Safe Solar Viewing

The next big eclipse is on its way!

The West Valley Astronomy Club (WVAC) is coming for a special “Sun Party” at your local Peoria Public Library! Join us as we learn techniques for safe sun viewing during the solar eclipse as well as how to make your own pinhole viewer. You will even get a chance to look at the sun through special “sun filters” of high-grade telescopes. Earn one pair of solar glasses per participating Family for attending the event.

Locations/Dates:

  • Tuesday, March 19th at the Peoria Main Library, 10:00 – 11:00 am

Registration to attend the event is required.
