Bio: Steve is a retired IT instructor and course developer. He is also an active member of EVAC where he volunteers for outreach events at schools, star parties and the observatory. Steve is also on the Board of Directors for EVAC.

Safely Seeing the Sun

The West Valley Astronomy Club (WVAC) is coming for a special “Sun Party” at your local Peoria Public Library! Join us as we learn techniques for safe sun viewing during the solar eclipse as well as how to make your own pinhole viewer. You will even get a chance to look at the sun through special “sun filters” of high-grade telescopes. Earn one pair of solar glasses per participating Family for attending the event.

Locations/Dates:

  • Sunrise Mountain Library: Saturday, Oct. 7, @ 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.

Registration to attend the event is required.
