The NSF-DOE Vera C Rubin Observatory and the Legacy Survey or Space and Time - Bringing the Night Sky to Life
Bio:
Dr. Alan Strauss is the Head of Education and Public Outreach (EPO) for the NSF-DOE Vera Rubin Observatory, where he leads an interdisciplinary team of astronomers, writers, designers, developers and educators building web-based astronomy experiences for the public. An amateur astronomer by training, Alan earned his PhD from the College of Education at the University of Arizona and previously worked as the Director of Steward Observatory’s Mount Lemmon SkyCenter and Sky School.
